The Local Girls

The Local Girls

perform in "The East Room" of The White House
for the Candlelight Tour
December 28, 1998
(7:00 - 7:40 pm)

Beautiful music in a beautiful setting.

An elegant evening.

Great ambience.

Children were captivated.

The public waited outside in line for over three-and-a-half hours.
This girl got in line at 3:30 pm and made it into the East Room
for this 7:00 performance.

The Local Girls Quartet.

White House social office staffer, Danielle Westphal, joins the trio for "Mister Sandman."

Seven presidents have lain in state here in The East Room.

There were 18 golden conical trees in the East Room.

To celebrate the theme of the White House decor,
Mike and Bill perform "Winter Wonderland."

Note the portrait of George and also the grapevine angel on the mirror.

The Local Girls surprise a pair of fraternal twins,
Brad and Chris Schleyer,
by singing them the new birthday song,
"Your Trip Around the Sun."
